STARTUGC™EDITORIAL + RESEARCH STANDARDS

StartUGC publishes creator-business resources, brand-side UGC workflows, educational guides and original tools. This page explains the standards used to keep that information clear, useful and trustworthy.

Facts, guidance and opinion

When a statement depends on a platform rule, policy, eligibility requirement or other changing external fact, StartUGC aims to use the relevant official source and to distinguish that sourced fact from StartUGC guidance, examples or interpretation.

Original research and benchmarks

StartUGC does not present invented market averages, fabricated survey results or unsupported benchmarks as data. When StartUGC publishes an original survey, index or benchmark, the publication should explain the sample, collection method, time period, relevant markets, definitions and important limitations so readers can judge what the findings do and do not show.

Examples and case studies

Practice examples, fictional scenarios and templates should be identified as such. Campaign metrics or client results should only be presented as verified performance when StartUGC has a legitimate basis to describe them that way and permission to publish the information where permission is required.

Reviews and testimonials

StartUGC does not support fabricated reviews or testimonials. Published review and testimonial programs should reflect authentic customer or creator experiences and disclose material relationships when required.

Platform changes

Creator platforms, social networks, advertising products, marketplace rules and program eligibility can change. StartUGC resources that depend on those systems should direct readers to current official requirements when a current rule matters to the decision.

Corrections

If you find a factual error, broken official source, outdated platform requirement or material ambiguity in a StartUGC resource, use the StartUGC Contact form. Material corrections should improve the underlying resource rather than hide the issue.

Educational scope

StartUGC provides educational resources, planning frameworks and workflow tools. Content involving contracts, taxes, accounting, finance or legal rights is educational information and is not a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified professional when professional advice is needed.

Our standard

The goal is simple: make the source of a claim understandable, make the limits of the information visible, and make the next action clearer for creators and brands.
